First trimester- October was great, no morning sickness, no emotional stuff yet, everything was perfect. In November we had a little scare. I had to be put on bed rest and stop all activity for 4 weeks. After those four weeks morning sickness was in full swing. Everything made me nauseous; the worst was hamburger or breakfast foods. I couldn’t really eat anything at all by Thanksgiving. I couldn’t even eat pumpkin pie, which is my favorite. I lived on water, crackers and ginger ale. But baby kept growing and was healthy and that’s all I cared about. Christmas was perfect I started feeling a little better and could finally start eating more. Brandie and I were getting anxious; we just wanted our babies here!
.
Second trimester- It’s a boy! We were so excited to find out we were having a boy! We were anxious for June to get here so we could welcome Keegan Nicholas to the world.
around this time we had ourselves another scare. The ultrasound tech told us that there could be a problem with our baby and that we’d have to have a 3D ultrasound done to make sure everything was okay. Thankfully everything was fine. Baby was growing wonderfully. It was almost time for me to start my third trimester when Brandie went into labor. Little Preslie Rayne was here!
Third trimester- Every time I held Preslie, baby would get so excited and kick me as hard as he could. He was getting to be so active. I loved to put the remote on my tummy just to see him kick it off. Everything was going perfectly! I was getting bigger and more tired as the days went on. I didn’t have ankles anymore, and could barely walk 5 minutes without having to sit and rest. All I cared about was that bubba was growing and he was healthy. By the end though I was definitely ready for him to be here, not only just to be with him but so I wouldn’t be in so much pain from being swollen. During my last few weeks we had lots to do, get the room ready, the house clean, the bag packed and most importantly the baby showers, so he would have everything he needed for when he came home.
it was almost time!
