His first week home was the most nervous I think I have ever been. I watched him like a hawk to make sure he was breathing okay when he slept and to make sure that I didn't miss a second of anything that might happen. Everything was a new experience; I was learning his cries, learning to change diapers very quickly and learning his sleep patterns. After a few weeks everything was easier, like breathing. I knew what he wanted with every little cry. Around 3 weeks old he rolled over for the first time. We took him to the dance studio right away because I wanted to see how he’d react around the music, he’s definitely his mother’s child, the music didn't bother him at all he slept the entire time. On the day he turned a month old Keegan had his first dance recital to attend. We introduced him to the studio on stage while my “sister” Erin Blair sang ‘Baby Mine’ from the movie Dumbo. He got passed around to everyone that night and loved every minute of it. The next week was his first 4th of July! We spent it with Erin and her family and shot off fireworks and Kenny and Gentry (Erin’s daughter) had a water balloon fight. It was fun and Keegan had a fun night.
He and Preslie had their first sleepover soon after that, they pretty much just stared at each other at this point. I noticed so many little changes in him already. He was looking more and more like his daddy. Smiling a little more, eating more and slept in his crib better than he used to. Before I knew it he was 3 months old.
Milestones:
· First trip to the ER- baby zits
· First smile
· First sleepover at his Grammy’s
· First shots- hated them. Although I cried more than he did.
· Started holding his head up and looking around
· Started teething
